Well, two days ago, my KVM switch came in from Amazon. I've been looking for a KVM for a while now--I've had a couple of tower/desktop computers that I've wanted to get up and running, but only a single monitor. Most KVM switches, however, are along the lines of 150+ dollars, not including cables to connect the keyboard/mouse/monitor.

So I happened to find one on dealnews20, for about forty bucks, cables included. I took advantage of the free shipping stuff that Amazon has, so I had to wait about two weeks for the thing to get shipped, and on top of that, the condo business office called me the day it arrived and told me that they'd close at 6:00 PM. I get there at 5:50 and they're closed ::grumble:: But I think it was worth the wait.

Now all I have to do is get everything off the old computer and install Linux, so I can get a domain and maybe move the bronzearchives here. I'm thinking either energy-mo-tron.com (it's a line from Futurama) or mutantenema.com ("Putting the Grr..Aargh in Buffy fandom").

Oh, and batnandu and I can play networked Xpilot if I set up the Linux box, too.
Current Mood: geeky
